It was a subdued Eid for the people who lost their homes and loved ones in the earthquake last month.
There wasn't much to celebrate on Eid for Nusrat. Her entire world came crashing down when her husband Nazir Ahmed was killed in last month's quake.
Nusrat is being forced to fend for herself and her four children. "There are no celebrations. I have lost my home, my husband and relatives," she said.
Quiet remembrance
All across Uri there was just a quiet remembrance for all those who died in the October 8 earthquake.
Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Omar Farooq joined people to offer prayers for the quake-ravaged town.
"Clearly this Eid has been a very sombre one," said Farooq.
And he had a special prayer that India and Pakistan quickly open up points along the Line of Control to allow divided families to meet their relatives.
