Admin Password
If you changed your password by clicking on the password link in the admin options.
Then you need to change it here also
Just enter the password you changed it to.
No need to enter your old password anywhere.
If you are having problems, then enter it manually by opening config.asp with your favorite editor and make the change...keeping the structure of the page intact.
Site Title
Enter the name of your website.
For example if the name of your website is "ASPcodes"
Then you would enter:
ASPcodes
in the textbox.
Domain Name
Enter your Domain name.
For example if your Domain name is "www.aspcodes.com"
Then you would enter:
www.aspcodes.com
in the textbox.
**NOTE: DO NOT add "http://"**
Base Directory
Enter the Path to the ezHomepage directory.
For example if you uploaded it to your root directory
Then you would enter:
C:\path\to\ezHomepage
Changing "C:\path\to\" to the path to your root directory.
**NOTE: If you dont know the path to your root directory...ask your web hosting provider.**
EZHomepage Directory
Enter the directory that ezHomepage is in.
For example if you renamed the ezHomepage directory to "myhomepage"
Then you would enter:
/myhomepage/
Or if you put the ezHomepage directory in another directory named "anotherdirectory"
Then you would enter:
/anotherdirectory/ezHomepage/
Finally, If you renamed the ezHomepage directory to "myhomepage" AND put it in another directory named "anotherdirectory"
Then you would enter:
/anotherdirectory/myhomepage/
In ALL cases the "/" MUST be infront and behind the directory(ies)
hmpage.mdb Path
This is the path to the MAIN EZHomepage database.
If you made any changes to the ezHomepage directory as described above.
Then you would need to make the same changes here.
For example if you renamed the ezHomepage directory to "myhomepage" AND put it in another directory named "anotherdirectory"
Then you would enter:
/anotherdirectory/myhomepage/datastores/hmpage.mdb
****SERCURITY ALERT****
You should rename the database so that no one can hack into it and get your password!
Someone who knows what they are doing can with, some effort, access your database if they know the path AND the name of the database!
If you do rename the database then you need to make the change here also.
newsletter.mdb Path
This is the path to the Newsletter database.
If you made any changes to the ezHomepage directory as described above.
Then you would need to make the same changes here.
For example if you renamed the ezHomepage directory to "myhomepage" AND put it in another directory named "anotherdirectory"
Then you would enter:
/anotherdirectory/myhomepage/datastores/newsletter.mdb
****SERCURITY ALERT****
You should rename the database so that no one can hack into it and get access to your mailing list!

SMTP Server
Enter the name of your SMTP Server.
For example if the name of your SMTP Server is "mail.example.com"
Then you would enter:
mail.example.com
in the textbox.
**NOTE**
If you dont know the name of your SMTP Server ask your web hosting provider.
Email Server
Select the server you wish to use, either "localhost" or "SMTP".
**NOTE**
If you receive the following error you should select "localHost":
Email send failed: The server rejected one or more recipient addresses. The server response was: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1) .
Enable SMTP Authentication
If you have selected SMTP for the Email Server and your SMTP Server requires Authentication then enable it here!
**NOTE**
If you enable SMTP Authentication then you need to Enter a User Name and Password
SMTP User Name
If you have enabled SMTP Authentication then enter the User Name here.
**NOTE**
You will also need to enter a Password!
SMTP Password
If you have enabled SMTP Authentication then enter the Password here.
**NOTE**
You will also need to enter a User Name!
SMTP Email
Enter the Email address the you will receive mail at.
**NOTE**
The address must be on the SMTP Server above.
For example if the Email address is "example@example.com"
Then you would enter:
example@example.com
in the textbox.
Email Component
Select the name of the email component you use.
If you are not sure of the component to use.
Ask your web hosting provider which ones are availible.
Page Header
Settings Page:
Text or Image? Set this to your preference here If you choose Image.
You can upload an image in the Styles section.
Styles Page:
You can change the background name here. If you are creating a style you can upload it here.
*NOTE* You might want to change the default images for the premade styles
The default width is 100% for the header images. You can change that in the pageHeader.asp file located in the common folder
BackGround Image
You can use your own background image,
just upload it to the image directory in the ezHomepage directory.
The only change you would need to make here is to change the name of the image to your background image.
****NOTE: You MUST NOT add the path of the ezHomepage directory!
****NOTE: DO NOT include a "/" or "\" infront it.
Table Image
This is the blue image used on top of the Menus and and Tables
For the image to fit right it needs to be 20px in height and I recommend a width of 5px or less!
Again as with the background image all you need to change is the name of the image!
Upload Image Width
This is the Width of the image people are allowed to upload to their directory for their profiles.
I recommend a max width of 200, but you can set it to anything you want.
Just enter the width as a number WITHOUT "px" or "pt" IE: 150 - NOT 150px - or - one five zero
Upload Image Height
This is the Height of the image people are allowed to upload to their directory for their profiles.
I recommend a max height of 200, but you can set it to anything you want.
Just enter the height as a number WITHOUT "px" or "pt" IE: 150 - NOT 150px - or - one five zero
Newsletter Footer
This is the footer that is sent with the newsletter.
This footer is not included with the intial email the subscriber gets on sign-up
You can edit it any way you want.
You may use html or text depending on your newsletter preferences.
If you are having problems with any of these it is suggested that you "go with what you know"
Announcement
This is for the Annoucement at the top of the users Home page
You can use up to 4000 characters

Reserved/Banned List
Enter any user names that you want reserved or banned from registering.
Make sure there are seperated by a comma "," and is lower case
Any name entered in either upper or lower case or any combination of the two will
result in the user being asked to enter a different name.
Link Menu
Menu Title: Enter the name of Menu. IE: Contents, Site Links etc...
Link 1 Title:, Link 2 Title:, etc... : Enter the name of each link. IE: Home, Scripts etc...
Link 1:, Link 2:, etc... : Enter the URL of the link. IE: http//www.mysite.com, /index.asp, etc...
Enable Cookies
If you enable Cookies then users will stay logged in until they logout.
If you don't enable Cookies users will only be logged in for 2 hours, then they will have to login again!
Look and Feel
Title Font: Titles and Subtitle fonts
Page Font: Font color of the text on the page
Link Font: The Color of the links
Title background: The color of the title boxes
Sub title Background: The color of the sub title boxes
Background 1: One of the other background colors
Background 2: One of the other background colors
Select Boxes: The color of the Input and select boxes
If you cant see the color example it's because it's the same as the background!
Default Style
This is the Style That people see when they Sign-up and is the Style the user gets when they first login.
The user may change the style in the user control panel.
Allow Upload
Set this to "yes" if you want the users to have the ability to upload files to their personal directory
Selecting "yes" will add the Upload link in the users options menu
Set this to "no" if you do not want them to have the ability to upload files to thier personal directory.
selecting "no" will remove the Upload link in the users options menu
Allowable Extensions
These are the extensions you want to allow your users to upload
I have included the most common extensions that are safe.
separate each extension with a comma (",") and DO NOT add the dot (".")
NOTE: If you allow users to upload script extensions such as ASP, PHP, CGI, ect...
You run the risk of them uploading malicious files that can compromise your server!
Number of Galleries
This is the number of galleries you want to allow the users to have.
You can set this to any number you want.
Image Width
Maximum Width in pixels (px) anything over this size will be resized to this Width.
You can set this to any number you want.
Image Height
Maximum Height in pixels (px) anything over this size will be resized to this Height.
You can set this to any number you want.
Image File Size
Size is in Bytes! EXAMPLE: 200000 = 200 KB
The size limit also applies to images that have been resized.
You can set this to any number you want.
Maintenance Mode
This is self explainitory:
Turn "on" while performing maintenance...such as cleaning galleries or making changes
Turn "off" when not preforming maintenance
Maintenance Message
Enter the message you want users to see while in maintenance mode
You can use either TEXT or HTML
MSSQL SERVER
Enter the name of the SERVER the datbase is on.
Example: mssql.yourdomain.com or whatever the name is.
Main Database Name
Enter the name of the database
Example: my_hmpage
Main Database Login
Enter the USER LOGIN NAME required for the database
Main Database Password
Enter the PASSWORD required by the Database
Newsletter Database Name
Enter the name of the newsletter database
Example: my_newsletter
Newsletter Database Login
Enter the USER LOGIN NAME required for the newsletter database
Newsletter Database Password
Enter the PASSWORD required by the newsletter Database
